- What is the proper way to stop at a stop intersection?
Covered in the Illinois Vehicle Code 625 ILCS 5/11-1204(b) which states:
1) Every driver of a vehicle shall stop before entering the crosswalk
2) If no crosswalk; shall stop at a clearly marked stop line, but if none
3) Stop at the point nearest the intersection roadway where the driver has a view of approaching traffic
